Studio Job stands for an art and design collective, led by Job Smeets (° 1970) and Nynke Tynagel (° 1977).
Studio Job is well known for its very daring products and sculptures. They explore the boundary between design and art. By deliberately producing very small runs of their designs, they achieve a high level of exclusivity with their work. As object, the designs are often out of proportion and everything revolves around their design and artistic value. For example, they created chandeliers with gigantic cross-section, towels with insect motifs, a giant teapot covered with thousands of white gold mosaic stones and a series of bronze objects that are connected to farm life.
Their work has been included in several museum collections and in 2016 Studio Job was given a major solo exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design, New York.
