Monique Benthin studied at the Rotterdam Willem de Kooning Academy for fine arts.

In her work, issues as identity, the sivilisation, emotions and the personal being are very important. Her work confronts the viewer with the question: what is real and what is not. She makes assemblages, monumental drawings, collages and photo's.
