Rik van Iersel is a Dutch artist who lives and works in Eindhoven.

Van Iersel as an autodidact, is very curious for materials, media and life itself. His work is expressionist and he works quickly and spontaneously. His painting unfold by an associative process in which continuous forms evoke ideas and memories.

Van Iersel is a traditional painter in subject and technique. He is often guided by themes that already occur for centuries in art. In addition, he uses the collage technique, which was introduced at the beginning of this century.
